Kiwi Company Oi scores big in the USA

Organic Initiative (Oi) is proud to announce their 100% certified organic cotton range of feminine hygiene products is now available across 3500 Walmart stores in the USA. Feminine hygiene sales in the U.S. are USD $2.7b per annum and Walmart accounts for about 20% of these.

Oi Co-Founder & CEO, Helen Robinson sees Walmart taking on the range, the only pure organic tampons and pads in store, as a bold step in support of women’s health and environmental sustainability.

Robinson goes on to say that Oi believes all women should have access to an affordable range of premium, organic tampons, pads and liners. “Our initiative is to be the new norm and we invite all women to make the healthy, certified organic feminine choice.”

By being 100% certified “organic cotton, the tampons, pads and panty liners are free from synthetics, chemicals sprays, perfumes and dyes. They are also biodegradable. “A woman will use about 11,000 products in her lifetime, so having a readily available alternative to synthetic feminine hygiene products is a game changer “ Robinson says. “It’s a small change each month every woman can make for themselves and for our world.”

Oi was introduced to the New Zealand market in Oct 2015 and has seen unrivalled growth. According to AC Neilson reports Oi is the fastest growing mainstream player and the largest organic, natural product in the NZ market.

Oi can be found in most major supermarkets (Countdown, Pak’n Save, New World, Four Square), The Warehouse, pharmacies and health shops in NZ.
